Download & upload
These show how quickly this device can receive and send generated test data. WiFi conditions, device capability, congestion and the broadband service can all influence the result.
Wavexa broadband diagnostic
Measure the connection available to this device — download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter — then repeat the test around your property to help identify whether poor performance points towards the incoming broadband or your WiFi coverage.
Live test
For the most useful diagnosis, test once near your router and again in the room where you notice the problem.
Community leaderboard
Share this test anonymously to see how your connection compares with other Wavexa speed tests.
Nothing is published unless you choose to add it. Only the measured speed-test figures and date are shared at first. It is published as Anonymous. Add a name or nickname and provider if you want them shown publicly beside the result.
Only the speed-test figures, date, optional name/nickname and optional provider are displayed publicly. Public names and custom provider names are automatically checked; offensive, abusive, promotional and contact information is blocked.Community leaderboard
Tests that people choose to share are ranked by measured download speed. Names and providers are optional and supplied by the tester.
Community results measure the connection available to each tester's device through the Wavexa test server. They are not a controlled national comparison of broadband providers, and very fast connections may be limited by the device, WiFi, browser or hosting route.
Room comparison
A large drop away from the router can be more diagnostically useful than the absolute speed itself.
Understanding the numbers
These show how quickly this device can receive and send generated test data. WiFi conditions, device capability, congestion and the broadband service can all influence the result.
Ping is response time. Jitter is how much that response time varies. High or inconsistent latency can affect video calls, gaming and responsive smart-home devices even when headline speed is reasonable.
If the near-router result is healthy but another room is substantially slower, the pattern points more strongly towards WiFi coverage, interference or your internal network.
This is not a direct measurement at the ISP network boundary. It measures the real connection available to the device you are using, which is deliberately useful for diagnosing customer experience around a property.
The test uses temporary generated data. Your result is not published automatically. After a test completes, you can choose whether to add its download, upload, ping, jitter and date to the public Wavexa community leaderboard as Anonymous. If you opt in, you can optionally add a public name/nickname and provider, or remove your result during the session. Very fast connections can also be limited by the test server or hosting route, so results should be treated as a practical diagnostic rather than a guaranteed ISP line-rate measurement.
Need help interpreting the result?
That is exactly the kind of pattern Wavexa can investigate. We can assess coverage, interference, router placement, cabling, access points, mesh options and hardwired solutions.
