How can Wavexa help?

Start with what you want to be able to do.

You do not need to know the technical name for the problem. Tell us what you would like to do, what is not working, or what you find difficult, and we will take it from there.

I’d like support for myself

Support that moves at your pace.

You may use technology every day but find certain things confusing, unreliable or difficult to set up. You might simply want someone to explain something properly without rushing you.

There is no expectation that you should already understand how your equipment works. We will listen to what you want to achieve, help resolve the immediate problem where possible, and explain what we are doing in straightforward language.

You remain in control throughout the visit. If something is unfamiliar, we can go through it again. If written instructions would help afterwards, we can leave a simple summary of the important steps.

I’m arranging support for someone else

Reassurance for family, friends and carers.

Sometimes the person who needs support is not the person arranging the visit. You may be helping a parent, relative, friend, neighbour or someone you care for who relies on technology for communication, shopping, entertainment, safety or everyday independence.

You can contact Wavexa to explain the situation and help arrange suitable support. The person receiving the visit remains our customer and remains in control of their technology and personal information.

With their permission, we can provide a simple summary afterwards explaining what we helped with, what was set up or changed, whether anything still needs attention, and any simple instructions that may be useful.

Who is this service for?

You do not need to fit a label.

Digital Inclusion & Independence support is available to adults who would benefit from patient, practical help with everyday technology.

You live alone and want more confidence using everyday technology.
You feel less confident using phones, tablets, computers or online services.
You depend on digital services for everyday tasks.
You have difficulty seeing, hearing or operating some devices.
You have recently been given a new phone, tablet, television or other device.
You are moving to Digital Voice or your home phone setup has changed.
You rely on family or friends for technology support.
You would simply prefer someone to explain things face-to-face.
There is no upper or lower age requirement for adult customers. The aim is simply to make technology easier to access and more useful in everyday life.

What happens during a visit?

We listen → We help → We explain.

A visit is deliberately simple and unhurried. We start with what matters to you, not with technical terminology.

1

We listen

We begin by understanding what you would like help with and what you want to be able to do.

2

We help

We work through the problem or setup with you at a sensible pace, including diagnosis, connections or settings where appropriate.

3

We explain

Before we leave, we make sure you understand what has been done and how to use the parts that matter to you.

No rushing. No unnecessary jargon. No expectation that you should already know.

Simple, predictable pricing

Know the cost before the visit starts.

A clear first-hour price keeps the visit predictable, while additional time is only used when it is genuinely helpful and agreed with you first.

Home support visit

Up to 60 minutes

£55for the first hour

Patient, one-to-one support in your home, focused on the technology and everyday tasks that matter to you.

£15per additional 30 minutes, only if agreed first
We will never simply let a visit overrun and present you with an unexpected bill.

Included around the visit

  • A short initial telephone conversation is free.
  • Any extra time is discussed and agreed before it is charged.
  • Equipment, replacement parts or additional installation work are quoted separately.
  • Any travel supplement outside the normal service area is confirmed before booking.
  • A simple written visit summary can be provided where useful.
  • With the customer’s permission, the same summary can be shared with a nominated family member, friend or carer.
7-day follow-upIf you have a simple question about something we set up or explained during the visit, short follow-up support is included for seven days.

Not everyone needs a paid home visit

We will tell you if there is a better option.

There are free community digital-support services available for some types of help. If, after speaking with you, we believe a free local service would be more appropriate for what you need, we will tell you.

Wavexa is most useful when practical help is needed in the home — particularly where technology needs to be diagnosed, connected, configured, made easier to use or explained properly.

Privacy, dignity and safety

Your technology. Your information. Your decisions.

We take privacy particularly seriously when providing support in someone’s home.

  • We will not ask you to disclose banking PINs or passwords that are not genuinely needed for an agreed technical task.
  • We do not make financial decisions on your behalf.
  • We do not make purchases without your agreement.
  • We do not provide personal information to family members, friends or carers without appropriate permission.
  • Where account details are required for legitimate setup, we encourage you to enter them yourself wherever practical.
  • You are welcome to have a family member, friend or carer present during the visit if you prefer.

Supporting independence

The aim is confidence.

Wherever possible, we do more than simply fix the immediate problem. We explain what we have done and help you understand how to use the technology afterwards.

The aim is not for you to need an engineer every time you use your technology. The aim is to make it easier for you to use it independently.

  • Make a video call
  • Find a favourite programme
  • Adjust a device setting
  • Order groceries
  • Reconnect a device
  • Understand an alert
  • Use accessibility features
  • Contact family more easily

Family peace of mind

Knowing things are working properly.

Technology is increasingly important for staying connected with people who do not live nearby.

With the customer’s permission, Wavexa can provide a simple post-visit update so a nominated family member, friend or carer understands what has been resolved and whether anything further is recommended.

This is intended to provide reassurance without taking control away from the person receiving support.
